Manual Reconciliations
Selecting Reconciliation>Manual Recon from the menu provides a view of all transactions and confirmations that have not yet been reconciled for the specified Investment Account.
Use the Transaction or Confirmation Filter to arrange columns and filter data.
Selecting the arrow () will add the chosen transaction or confirmation to the matched transactions screen. Checking the checkboxes and clicking the Match button can also be used to add multiple records to the matched transactions screen.
For the majority of accounts the reconciliation is done on the units. For some accounts it is done on amount. This is set at a Fund level when the Fund is created in Moorgate.
Transactions can be reconciled when the Matched Units difference is less than or equal to the tolerance set for the Fund.
If the matched balance is bigger than the tolerance you won't be able to reconcile your selected transactions. You can tag them to link them together and easily identify them until the necessary transaction or confirmation appears.
If the difference is within the tolerance a Balancing entry will be created to account for this difference. You specify a Balancing Entry type so you know why you created it. Balancing entries are used to drive your Market Action process.
Selecting Reconcile will then reconcile this confirmation and transaction.
Tagging items:
Selecting the Save Tag button will allow the user to create a tag that will associate the confirmation(s) and transaction(s).
These tags can be retrieved and managed by going to the tag screen.
