Amount Reconciliation Funds often have a set price for every transaction. In Moorgate prior to release 1.4.1506.1331 (February 2016) all Funds were priced using the Finswitch Price File imported regardless of type. Users could also capture a price manually. However different Price Types exist and users make mistakes, so sometimes the incorrect price is used. To fix this we've introduced a Default Price field for Amount Funds. This allows you to set a Fund Price that will be used on the Capture, Edit and Failed Confirmation screens for Amount Funds. The user will not be able to change this value at any point. Finswtch and Imported transactions will still use the values they came with. If your fund type is Units nothing has changed. Here's how to set it up.
Navigate to the Setup>Fund page and select the Fund you want to apply a Default Price to
If it is an Amount Fund, you'll see a new field Default Price (in cents) below the Reconciliation Type
The Default Value is 0c which means that everything behaves like usual. The Price can be manually captured and is supplied from the FS Price import if available
Set it to anything >0 to set a Default Price
Now the FS price will be ignored and users will not be able to capture a different price manually
This applies on the Capture Confirmations, Edit Confirmations and Edit Failed Confirmations Screens
Reports will need to be updated to take this Price into account if applicable
